Amplitel
MAUD, 2021

Amplitel is the infrastructure that keeps Australia connected. More than 8,000 active masts spanning the continent, from city centres to the most remote communities in the country. It is, by any measure, the backbone of Australian telecommunications — and yet until recently, it existed entirely in the shadow of its parent.

When Amplitel separated from Telstra in 2020, the opportunity was significant. A company of this scale and consequence, operating critical national infrastructure, needed an identity that reflected the weight of that responsibility. Not a sub-brand. Not a utility. A company with a distinct purpose and a clear sense of who it was.

The identity was built around a single organising idea: always up. Amplitel's promise is not speed or coverage or innovation in isolation. It is reliability. The mast that never falls. The signal that never drops. The infrastructure that communities, businesses and individuals depend on without a second thought, because it has never given them reason to think about it at all.

Every element of the identity reflects that ethos. Considered, confident and built to last.
